PRAXIS
Praxis es un proyecto gráfico independiente con base en la ciudad de Nueva York que tiene como principal objetivo la creación y desarrollo de contenido visual alrededor de diferentes problemáticas de derecho y liberación animal. A través del diseño gráfico, el arte urbano y la acción directa, este proyecto busca informar, educar, y difundir información sobre abuso y crueldad animal en los campos de la experimentación, la moda, la industria alimentaria y el cambio climático entre otros.
Alrededor de 200 millones de animales no-humanos son abusados y asesinados cada día para consumo humano en el mundo, por esta razón, Praxis une influencias de distintas culturas callejeras (Punk, graffiti, hard core, protesta social) y de grupos de liberación animal en Europa, Norte América y Latino América, para protestar, visibilizar a estos individuos y celebrar a aquellos anónimos dedicados a la liberación animal, humana y de la tierra, utilizando la técnica del stencil y el cartel callejero como principal herramienta.
Praxis is an independent graphic project based in New York City whose main objective is the creation and development of visual content around different systematic problems regarding animal laws. Through graphic design, urban art and direct action, this project seeks to inform, educate, and disseminate information on animal abuse and cruelty in the fields of experimentation, fashion, the food industry and climate change among others.
Around 200 million non-human animals are abused and killed every day for human consumption in the world, for this reason, Praxis unites influences from different street cultures (Punk, graffiti, hard core, social protest) and liberation groups animal in Europe, North America and Latin America, to protest, make these individuals visible and celebrate those anonymous dedicated to animal, human and land liberation, using the stencil technique and the street sign as the main tool.
