BELIGERARTE

La consolidación del proyecto paramilitar, la persecución del movimiento social, la brutalidad policial, los asesinatos selectivos, las masacres, las miles de desapariciones forzadas, los falsos positivos; la continuidad de un exterminio que avanza con las décadas insaciable de muerte y destrucción. La unión de la mafia y el Estado, el monopolio económico y de los medio de comunicación. El empobrecimiento, la exclusión masiva, la avanzada del poder corporativo trasnacional y la perpetuación del saqueo de los recursos.

Beligerarte se constituye hace 11 años como una respuesta alternativa a este contexto, surge como una juntanza en torno a la intención de realizar  intervenciones visuales en el espacio público (arte callejero), como una herramienta comunicativa contra-hegemónica y contrainformativa.

La construcción colectiva y participativa, ha sido una estrategia desde la cual Beligerarte acompaña desde el 2011 a los familiares de personas asesinadas y desaparecidas por el Estado colombiano. Acercando y poniendo a su disposición  técnicas como el esténcil,  muralismo y cartelismo: vehículos para la exteriorización de sentimientos, emociones, y significado de los hechos, en aras a la reconstrucción de una memoria que pretende ser dominada por las fuerzas del negacionismo.

Contra el silenciamiento, la ignorancia y el olvido, y por la verdad, la memoria y la justicia: Las calles siempre serán nuestras.

The consolidation of the paramilitary project, the persecution of the social movement, the police brutality, the selective assassinations, the massacres, the thousands of forced disappearances, the false positives; the continuity of an extermination that advances with the insatiable decades of death and destruction. The union of the mafia and the State, the economic and media monopoly. The impoverishment, the massive exclusion, the advance of the transnational corporate power and the perpetuation of the plundering of the resources.

Beligerarte was established 11 years ago as an alternative response to this context, it emerged as a gathering around the intention of making visual interventions in public space (street art), as a counter-hegemonic and counter-informative communication tool.

The collective and participatory construction has been a strategy from which Beligerarte accompanies since 2011 the families of people murdered and disappeared by the Colombian State. Approaching and making available techniques such as stencil, muralism and poster design: vehicles for the externalization of feelings, emotions, and meaning of events, in order to reconstruct a memory that seeks to be dominated by the forces of denial.

Against silence, ignorance and oblivion, and for truth, memory and justice: The streets will always be ours.
