Andrey Ziggnatto

Zignnatto, a self-taught artist, had as one of its formal axes the brick, from his own experience with the pottery of the city of São Paulo, where he was born and worked for four years as a bricklayer's helper. His series then arise from the interaction between formal experimentation with brick and the idea or concept that the artist seeks to highlight.

In line with other young artists of the contemporary Brazilian scene, he investigates the problems of the present metropolis, through these building modules, which re-interpreted, provide poetic readings. He also analyzes the systems of representation, particularly in works made from grids.

Zignnatto, who lives and works in Jundaí, has more than a dozen awards and participation in events related to the area, such as salons, solo and group exhibitions. Among them, the Honor Award for Merit - Art and Heritage, organized by the IPHAN / Ministry of Culture, Brazil, stands out..
